PALO CEDRO FIRE COMPANY

In 1974 the community of Palo Cedro came together to form a fire company to meet the needs of a growing community.  Property was purchased and ground breaking for the fire hall commenced in 1977. The project was completed with volunteer labor and a lot of donated materials.

In March of 1977 the new fire hall was dedicated and open for inspection.  The new hall housed two pumpers and a rescue truck to serve Palo Cedro residents.  In addition to responding to medical and fire emergency calls, PCFC hosted Christmas parades, Easter egg hunts and served as a center for community events.  Today, over 45 years later, PCFC continues to serve the community with the same dedication as the early volunteers that founded Station 32.
